Who we are ?
Roger Sawmill, an oak specialist since 1877, is based in Ingrannes, in the heart of the Orléans forest.
We saw over 10,000 m3 of logs a year, in a region renowned for the quality of its oak.
The careful sourcing of our products enables us to ensure traceability and quality control (colour grain).
Our customers can rely on both open-air drying and kiln-drying to meet their requirements.
Our activities have expanded to include the sale of parquet flooring and products for outdoor landscaping.
Our PEFC and “Bois de France” labels guarantee that our raw materials come from locally, and sustainably managed forests.
Our history
Since 1877, ROGER has been shaped by six generations of leadership, each contributing to the company’s growth and long-term development.
The company’s headquarters remain in Patay, in the Loiret region of France, the historic birthplace of the business.
From its local roots in 1877, the company expanded its reach regionally and eventually internationally, delivering its products to customers around the world.
The story began when Charles ROGER established a business trading construction materials and fuel products in Patay (Loiret).
His son, Joseph ROGER, further developed the business and expanded into forestry operations.
Later, Pierre ROGER established an oak sawmill in the Orléans Forest and opened the company’s first specialist tile showroom in Orléans in 1937.
In 1954, Jacques ROGER modernized and expanded the tile business by opening a new retail location in Orléans.
In 1960, the company diversified its operations into three specialized divisions: timber, tiles, and construction materials.
The fifth generation joined the company in 1984, when Damien and Christophe ROGER took over the development and strategic direction of its business activities.
In 2010, Benjamin and Lucas ROGER assumed responsibility for the tile division and continued its expansion. In 2022, Élodie ROGER joined the sawmill business, where she now oversees its management and operations.
Over the past 50 years, the company has continued to grow, opening five additional locations in Chartres, Montargis, Ballainvilliers, Bourges, and Herblay.
Today, the company remains firmly focused on the future, with an unwavering commitment to serving both private and professional customers. This dedication is reflected in the quality of its products, the expertise of its teams, and the personalized advice and support that have always been at the heart of its customer relationships.
