Our grades

In fixed widths :

  • QF1a/1b/2 : Choice mix of Ibis (10mm knots) and IIème (maximum 25mm knots) without sapwood.
  • QF1/2/(3)x : Mixed quality with knots ranging from 10mm to 25mm with sapwood on one face. Some square edged may have knots over 25mm.
  • QF3/4 : A few healthy knots larger than 25mm are tolerated without sapwood. Accidental heartwood accepted on one face.
  • QF4/5 : All knots allowed without sapwood + heartwood allowed.

  • QFA/1a/1b/(2)x : Mostly with sapwood on one side
  • QF1/2/3 brown : Grades mix
  • QF1/2/3/4 with stitch tolerance : Mixed grade with stitch tolerance
