Who we are ?
Sawmill Roger, an oak specialist since 1877, is based in Ingrannes in the heart of the Orléans forest.
We saw over 10,000 m3 of logs a year, in a region renowned for the quality of its oak.
The careful sourcing of our products enables us to ensure traceability and quality control (colour grain).
Our customers can rely on open-air drying and kiln drying to meet their requirements.
Our activities have expanded to include the sale of parquet flooring and products for outdoor landscaping.
Our PEFC and Bois de France labels guarantee that our raw materials come from local, sustainably managed forests.
Our history
Since 1877, 6 generations of the ROGER family have contributed to the general development of the company.
The company’s head office is still located in Patay, Loiret, the company’s historic headquarters.
The company grew from a local operation in 1877 to a regional and international one, delivering its products all over the world.
Charles ROGER first sets up a building materials and fuels business in Patay (45).
His son Joseph ROGER expanded the business and opened a logging operation.
Thereafter, Pierre ROGER set up an oak sawmill in the Orléans forest and opened his first specialist tile business in Orléans in 1937.
In 1954, Jacques ROGER modernizes and develops the tiles business with a new outlet in Orléans.
In 1960, the company split in three specializations: Wood, Tiles and Building Materials.
The fifth generation, Damien and Christophe ROGER, arrived in 1984 to develop and direct the business on the market.
In 50 years, five new sales outlets have been opened: Chartres (28), Montargis (45), Ballainvilliers (91), Bourges (18) and Herblay (95).
The company continues to look to the future, with an ever-increasing concern for the satisfaction of its private and professional customers, through key points in the commercial relationship such as the quality of the products and ever more informed advice.
